Day 8 - The Road of Magnus

Update of map:
I've made a radical change to the style and appearance of the maps. I've been thinking a lot about the fact that Vikings lived in many different places, but hardly ever in such green areas. So I decided to add snow to the map. Of course, at this stage of development it wouldn't be right to worry about it... but that's the problem, I CAN'T NOT WORRY ABOUT IT!
- Snow on the ground;
- Snow on the trees;
- Snow particules;
I believe this update will prevail until the end of development. For me, it makes more sense to have snow than not to have it during the Nordic period...
Update in demage system:
I improved the visual appearance of what the player's damage causes to the enemy and vice versa, this includes impact particles and changing the material of the one that took the damage to a completely white material, indicating that the attack was successful.
Sword is a pick-up item
Now the default sword (which I'm using to test the combat system) is a collectible item, so Magnus can either attack with his bare hands or collect the sword. This brought me a new challenge, to put a "strength" or STR system on the player, however, I preferred to go the easy and simple way, basic math...
life_enemy = 2 handsDemage = 1 swordDemage = 2 life_enemy -= handsDemage #1 life_enemy -= handsDemage #0
A simple system that I believe will be functional when I add new items and weapons.
